Please find examples below of models done with a laser scanner (Artec Leo) or photogrammetry. The two versions of each model are an example of both processes and results.
For the sculptures by Michelle Grabner, it would be best to combine two processes (Artec Leo + photogrammetry), because of the shiny bases, which can't be captured with photogrammetry.
The critical difference between the two processes is the resolution of the texture. All we should be looking at is the model texture and the relative detail. We suggest zooming in the same area in the two examples on two browser windows (of either Matthew Blake or the Succulents), so they can be compared.
