Artist
Sarah Jane Moon is a painter who specializes in portraiture and figurative painting. In 2018 Sarah Jane will be exhibiting at various galleries across London including New Art Projects, the Bankside Gallery, and the Mall Galleries as well as at Mokopopaki in Auckland, New Zealand.
She will continue to teach at The Heatherley School of Arts and The Art Academy in London and is also teaching on residential courses abroad, namely in France (May) and Greece (July).
Sarah Jane has exhibited with the Royal Society of Portrait Painters, Royal Institute of Oil Painters, New English Art Club, Lynn Painter Stainers and the New Zealand Portrait Gallery among others.
In 2015 she was awarded the Arts Charitable Trust Award and in 2013 the Bulldog Bursary for Portraiture. She has also been included in the 2016 Pride Power List, which celebrates the achievements of notable LGBT people, and in 2017 was featured in a documentary film about four queer female artists. The film, called ‘She is Juiced’, was directed by Lois Norman and premiered at the Tate Britain.
She is a regular supporter of Terrence Higgins Trust, Stonewall UK, Pride In London and Art For Youth.
